UPK Lottery Open Through February 27

Applications to enter the UPK lottery for the 2026 - 2027 school year will be open through Friday, February 27. Don’t worry, it’s NOT time sensitive! Apply at ANY TIME before February 27.

Kindergarten Registration March 10-12

We’re delighted to welcome our incoming Kindergartners! 

Register for 2026-27: March 10, 11, 12 at your home school. 
Evening registration March 10 from 4:30-7:30 pm at Myers Corners Elementary (156 Myers Corners Road, Wappingers Falls, NY)

Daycare and Private/Parochial Transportation Requests Due April 1

Reminder: Request forms for transportation to a daycare or private/parochial school need to be completed every year and submitted to Transportation no later than April 1. You'll find all of the forms here.

If you're not sure which daycare provider you'll use next year, please submit a request form anyway. It’s easier to change or update an existing request than to create a new request after the deadline.

  • Van Wyck JHS presents Newsies, Jr.

    Friday, February 27: 7:30 pm
    Saturday, February 28: 2:00pm and 7:30pm

  • All are welcome! Entrance fee: $1 per adult, $1 per child. Tickets also available to purchase for bounce house, petting zoo, games and attractions. Food and treats for sale, too. Proceeds to benefit JJHS Student Government, clubs, and activities.

  • The Board of Education will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, March 9, 2026, at about 7:30 pm at Roy C. Ketcham HS (99 Myers Corners Road, Wappingers Falls, NY) to seek input/feedback on the district’s Smart Schools Implementation Plan #6 for new fire alarm systems. 

    The Board of Education invites your comments prior to the public hearing. Please send your comments by email to: plans@wcsdny.org at any time prior to the anticipated adoption by the Board of Education on April 13, 2026, or you may choose to speak in person at the Public Hearing scheduled above.

February 25, 2026
I want to thank those who serve in our highway departments at the local, county and state level, as well as our own staff, for their incredible effort clearing yet another round of snowfall from the roads. Thanks for their efforts, we were able to open with a 2-hour delay, and continue in-person learning. Click here to view the video I shared on our social media this morning.

I encourage our families and community to visit our calendar page for opportunities to see our students shine! You’ll find game schedules, concert and theater performances, honor society inductions, and more.
