  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Ashlynn Feltman, Softball - for making a diving bases loaded catch in a win over Arlington B.

    Vinny Fusco, Baseball (Senior) RF/P while on our annual trip to Florida, hit 500 and got the save in our section 1 game vs. New Rochelle.

    Myles Reddick, Track & Field - (Freshman) threw the shot put 29'4" coming in 1st place in the dual meet @ Arlington.

    Cassidy Schuchat, Lacrosse - (Senior) goalie, had 20 saves in 2 games as Wappingers girls defeated Scarsdale 13-12 and Mahopac 14-10. First time in Wappingers Girls Lax history to defeat Mahopac.

    Sarah Unwalla, Track & Field (Freshman) - ran the 800 meters in 2:22.8 coming in first place in our tri meet vs. Mahopac and Carmel.

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Mikael Adeel, Tennis - (Senior) co-captain stepped up to play singles against RCK and scored a 7-5, 7-5 victory to help keep the match close.  Mikael's sportsmanship and fair play set a solid example for everyone.

    Oliver Broun, Track & Field - (Senior) ran 400 meters in 56.5 coming in first place in the dual meet at Arlington.

    Nicolette Diedrich, Lacrosse - (Senior) Attacker scored 6 goals, had 3 assists vs. Clarkstown South.  She is the first Wappingers girls lacrosse player to reach 200 career goals.

    Spencer Natoli, Baseball (Sophomore), pitched a complete game no hitter in his first varsity start vs. Scarsdale - no wlaks, 8 strikeouts.

    Emma Pittore, Track & Field (Sophomore) threw the javelin 80.5 feet coming in first place in the tri meet vs. Carmel and Mahopac.

    Kayla Cuthbertson, Basketball - great defensive effort in a win vs. Arlington!

    Emma Dwyer, Gymnastics - qualified for the NYS Gymnastics Championships in the BEAM.

    Alicia Harry (JJ) and Taylor Mensching (RCK), Unified Basketball - both girls bowled a wonderful game against New Paltz and Arlington!

    Kevin Murphy, Wrestling - led the team in its 8th place finish out of 33 schools at the sectionals.  Kevin was All-League, placing 3rd in his weight class.

    Jayden Dellhall (RCK) and Erik Guerero (JJ), Unified Bowling, had a great match against Pine Bush on Thursday.

    Nigella Kerr, Track & Field - (10th grade) ran a PR of 9.62 in the 55m Hurdles at the Ocean Breeze Invitationals in Staten Island, NY

    Joe Lachowicz, Bowling (10th grade) bowled a 222 against Arlington on Thursday.

    Nadia Richy, Gymnastics - (11th grade) 1st place All Around at the Section 1 Novice Meet.

    Isabella Schramm, Bowling - (12th grade) bowled her season high series 522 with a 172, 180, 170 against Arlington on Thursday.

    Anthony Squittieri, Track & Field - (10th grade) ran the 400 meters in 55.63 at the prestigious Ocean Breeze Invitational.

    Theodosia Wilson, Basketball - (12th grade) 14 pts. vs. Port Chester and 10 pts. vs. Poughkeepsie.

    Wrestling Seniors - who advanced to the State qualifiers - Dantay Williams, Ben Hewitt, Anthony Russo, Evan Prine and Brad Morrison.

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Rocco Bueti, Track & Field - (senior) placed 2nd in the 600m in a time of 2:43.64 at the Northern County Championships.

    Miles Clyde, Swimming -2:05.87 in the 200 Individual Medley at Conference Championships.

    Nico Cuba, Basketball - had 10 points in a win vs. Hendrick Hudson.

    Unified Bowling - Nicky G.with 2 strikes and 2 spares and Mea Gonzalez with 4 spares and a strike in a win over New Paltz.

    Isabelle DeMillio, Wrestling - (junior) placed 3rd at the first ever NYSPHSAA Girls Wrestling Championships.

    Kiley Kroohs, Gymnastics - (freshman) qualified in the All Around for Section 1 Divisionals. Kroohs was injured and not able to participate the first 6 weeks of the season which gave her half the time of everyone else to receive the required scores.  Impressive comeback!

    Gavyn Pacheco, Basketball - (junior) guard, scored 22 points, had 8 rebounds and 5 assists to help lead the Varsity team to an 11 point victory over Putnam Valley.

    Maia Perillo, Track & Field -  (junior) won the Pole Vault with a PR of 11'6 at the Northern County Championships.

    Anthony Russo, Wrestling - celebrated his birthday Saturday by placing first at the Edgemont Tournament, helping the Patriots run away with the team title.

    Cheerleading - placed 5th out of 39 teams at the Game Day Nationals in Dallas, Texas.

    2 x 200 relay, Track & Field - ran 1:51.70 winning the 4 x 200 relay at the Northern Counties Championships - Adrianna Gonzales, Nigrella Kerr, Meredith Angyal, Maya Perill.  Gonzales also won the 300m in a time of 42.60

  • ATHLETES OF THE SEEK

    Zachary Avis, Unified Bowling - (RCK) he had 2 impressive games in the match against Arlington.

    Hansen Bagdonas, Basketball  (grade 12) forward, returned from an injury this week to help secure a win against RCK in our annual Pink Out Game.

    Samantha Bethel, Gymnastics - received a career score of 9.25 on the Floor Exercise vs. Mahopac.

    Luis Fred, Bowling bowled 245, 214 and 229 ( 688 series against RCK).

    Russell Miller, Track & Field - League Champion in the Long Jump with a jump of 19'9.25" at the Armory.

    Brad Morrison, Wrestling - (grade 12) went 4-0 this week with 3 pins and a tech fall.  He was victorious over RCK on Wednesday and then placed 1st at the Beacon Bulldog Tournament on Saturday.  He led the team to a 4th place tournament finish.

    Isabella Schramm, Bowling - bowled a 193 vs. Carmel.

    Connor Shea, Unified Bowling - had 2 strikes and 2 spares in the match against Arlington.

    Amanda Vidal, Track & Field - finished 2nd with a PR of 12:33.92 in the 3000 meters at the League Championships at the Armory.

    Ashley Buragas, Basketball - (grade 12) scored her 1000th point vs. Poughkeepsie.

    Isabelle DeMillio, Wrestling - (grade 11) placed 5th in the girls division at the prestigious Eastern States Classic Wrestling Tournament.

    Arianna Gonzalez, Track & Field (grade 12) ran the 300 meters in 42.77 at the Stanner Games at the Armory.

    Kyle Kershaw, Track & Field - (freshman) had a PR of 7.26 in the 55 meters at the Stanner Games at the Armory.

    Joseph Lachowicz, Bowling - bowled a 210 game in Thursday's win against Poughkeepsie.

    Chris Mollicone, Wrestling - (grade 9) led the Patriots by placing 2nd at the Highland Round Robin Tournament. 

    Zoe Mullen, Bowling - bowled her career high game of 168 in Monday's match against Mahopac.

    Isaiah Tavares, Basketball - scored 11 points against Poughkeepsie and 12 points against Mahopac this week.

    Hope Angioletti, Basketball - (senior) 14 points in a win vs. Carmel and 14 points in a loss vs. Ketcham.

    Natalie Curatola, Bowling - rolled a 153, the teams high game against Arlington Monday.

    Darren Hernandez, Bowling - rolled a 246, 194 and 225 (665 series) leading the boys to their win against Arlington.

    Jaice Martabano, Basketball - (senior) scored 35 points at RCK and 14 points at Carmel to help JJ win both league games.

    Estella Pouani, Track & Field - (junior) ran 1:46.94 for the 600 meters at the Dendy Meet in NYC.

    Ryan Wisker, Track & Field - (senior) at the Dendy Meet at the Armory ran the 1600 meters in 4:52.49.

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Ashley Buragas, Basketball- (senior) MVP of the Rich Bosco Tournament in Suffern with over 30 points and 30 rebounds in the 2 day tournament.

    Emma Dwyer, Gymnastics - (grade 8) vs. Edgemont and Scarsdale this week Emma placed 1st in All Around, 1st in Floor Exercise, 1st in Uneven Bars, 2nd in Vault and 5th in Balance Beam.

    Luis Fred, Bowling - (senior) bowled an impressive 760 series (279, 246, 235) against Ketcham for the team win.

    Na'Jae Gainer, Bowling- (junior) bowled a high game of 160 vs. Ketcham on Thursday.

    Kevin Murphy, Wrestling - (junior) won both dual meet matches this week and won his weight class at our John Jay Patriot Tournament.

    Matthew Partridge, Basketball (sophomore) scored 14 points to lead John Jay to their first victory of the season over Port Chester. Matt led the team in scoring and assists.

    Alivia Grosskreuz, Volleyball - (senior) led our offense with a .268 hitting average and added 3 blocks in our sectional loss to Fox Lane.

    Eric Popp, Soccer - (senior) forward, scored 2 goals and assisted on a 3rd to help JJ beat Mamaroneck in a Section 1 Quarterfinal match at John Jay.

    Connor Howe, Soccer - (Senior) forward, scored 3 goals in a Section 1 final round match against RCK to send the Patriots to the Quarter Finals.

    Will Kingston, Football - (Senior) Will ran 56 yards for his first career touchdown with a highlight film run vs. Ossining.

    David Laubenheimer, Cross Country - David had a Bowdoin Park PR in a time of 18:13 to finish 3rd helping the team to a 3rd place finish in the Varsity II Race at the Section 1 Coaches Invitational.

    Emma Mahoney, Volleyball - (Senior) led the defense with 37 digs and 9 assists, and the highest serve receive rating in our 4 matches this week.  She played outstanding defense in our 5 set victory against league rival Mahopac.

    Amanda Vidal, Cross Country - Amanda had a big PR at Bowdoin Park in a time of 24:55 and had her best race of the season to finish number 3 on the team.

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Hope Angioletti, Field Hockey (senior) center mid had a great game on her senior night.  She controlled the middle of the field and had a beautiful assist to beat RCK 2-1.

    Meredith Angyal, Soccer (senior) forward, this week had 3 goals and 5 assists, helping JJ to a final record of 11-1-2 and their first league title since 2010.

    Brady Feliciotto, Football (junior) - ran for 260 yards and scored 4 TD's in a 35-21 win over White Plains.

    Kailey Fitzgerald, Cross Country - finished 14th at the League meet and was the 3rd finisher for the team, helping the girls team to a 3rd place finish.

    Alivia Grosskreup, Volleyball - had 6 blocks to push the varsity volleyball team to two 5 set matches last week in league play.

    Eric Guzman, Cross Country - finished 5th at the League meet and second on the team, helping the team to a second place finish.

    Anika Panghaal, Tennis (8th grade) - advanced to the second round of the Section 1 Singles Tournament after beating a tough opponent from Briarcliff HS in straight sets.

    Derek Viebrock, Soccer (junior) - midfield, had 2 goals and 1 assist helping the team beat NFA and RCK this past week.

    John Jay Cheer - 3 cheer competition wins in 8 days!

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Diva Biguvu, Volleyball (sophomore) - setter had 144 assists and 70 digs this week leading the team in 3 league victories and a first place finish in the silver bracket of the Millbrook Tournament.  Great week for the varsity girls volleyball team!

    Nelson Demelo, Soccer (senior) goalkeeper, Nelson finished the week with a 0.5 Goals Against Average, pitching a shutout at Arlington to help the Patriots go undefeated this past week.

    Anaya Pandya, Tennis - went 3-0 for us this week with straight set wins over strong opponents from Carmel, Lourdes and Ketcham.

    Finn VanDerStuyf, Football (junior) - linebacker, Finn led our defense in tackles and also added 1 sack and 2 tackles for loss.

    Oliver Broun, Soccer (senior forward) -scored a goal from 50 yards out in a game at Carmel.

    Bella Cabrera, Volleyball (freshman) - had 3 blocks and 9 kills against RCK.

    Noah Croutch, Football (Junior) - had 2 sacks and 3 tackles for loss on defense.  Had 61 yards receiving.

    Nahuel Gutierrez, Cross Country (junior) - won the boys JV race at the Brewster Bear Classic in a time of 18:16.

    Kai Moy, Volleyball (8th grade) - had 1 kill, 1 ace, and 18 digs in the win over Arlington.

    Ella Saltzman and Natalia Anunziato, Tennis Doubles  (sophomores) - played an excellent match defeating Arlington in straight sets.  They have an overall record of 6-1 this season.

    Charlotte Wang, Cross Country (sophomore) - was the first finisher for the team in the Varsity II race at the Brewster Bear Classic.

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Kate Robisch & Lyla Dwyer, Doubles Tennis - the girls played a long, hard fought match, coming back from a set down to overcome a tough team from RCK by scores of 3-6, 6-2 and 12-10.  This match secured a 4-3 team victory over RCK.

    Defensive Team, Football -they held an explosive New Rochelle team to 110 total yards of offense, recovered 2 fumbles and didn't allow a 3rd down conversion. 

    Nathalie Barbecho, Swimming - (12th grade) battled the grueling 500m freestyle event vs. Harrison.

    Ashley Buragas, Volleyball - 44 kills, 6 blocks and 14 digs helping us to a 7th place finish out of 25 teams at the Clarkstown South Tournament.  It was our best finish in 10 years!

    Kailey Fitzgerald, XC - was the 3rd finisher for the team, placing 35th overall in 22:51 for the 5K course, helping the varsity girls to a 6th place finish.

    Hannah Greer, Soccer (senior), outside back, had 2 goals this week leading the team to a 5-0-1 record so far.

    Joey Moore, Soccer (senior defender) scored a goal and played great at center back helping the Boys Soccer team beat RCK and take Scarsdale (the #1 ranked team in the state) to OT this past week.

    Layla Ohrvall, Field Hockey - (Sr.) scored the only goal off a corner for the win on Saturday vs. a very good Mahopac team.  Layla has been playing solid defense all season.  She is a very reliable center back.

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Alexa Cazzorla, Field Hockey - (junior) had a great week playing almost every minute of every game, helping the Patriots to go on a winning streak. Ava never gives up and plays tenacious defense.

    Ariana Gulbrandson, Volleyball - (junior) served a perfect 34 for 34 in 2 matches with 6 ace serves and 14 digs on defense.

    David Laubenheimer, Cross Country - (junior) was the second finisher for the team in a big PR of 17:12 for the 5K helping the team finish 6th out of 18 teams in the Varsity 1 Race at the Queensbury-Adirondack Invitational.

    Robert Mascia, Football - (junior) stepped up in a big way for the Patriot team vs. Mamaroneck. In addition to being an immovable force along the defensive line, he switched over to play offensive line and consistently opened holes for the John Jay rushing attack providing several key blocks that sprang runners for big gains.

    Delaney Mohl, Soccer - (senior) had 2 goals for the team in a 4-4 tie at Scarsdale.

    Anika Panghaal, Tennis - an 8th grader playing first singles on our team. This week Anika was undefeated winning a close match vs. Carmel taking a 3rd set tiebreak 10-7 and then winning against a powerful opponent from Arlington 6-2, 6-3.

    Erik Popp, Soccer - (senior) midfielder, scored a goal and assisted on 2 others to help JJ beat Mahopac 6-1.

    Estella Pouani, Cross Country - (junior) was the lead finisher for the team running a PR of 20:36 for the 5K in the Varsity 1 race at the Queensbury-Adirondack Invitational.

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Oliver Broun, Soccer - senior forward, scored a goal and created numerous turnovers with his relentless effort and chase defensively to beat Port Chester at home.

    Brady Feliciotto, Football - quarterback, ran for 3 touchdowns and threw for 2 more in a 51-0 win vs. Yonkers Brave.

    Ava Jordan, Soccer - (grade 10) led the varsity team with 3 goals and 2 assists in a 7-2 win against New Rochelle.

    Kayle Kinkel, Field Hockey - scored both goals for the team's 2-1 win against Pleasantville.  It was a great team effort on a very hot afternoon.

    Peyton Matessino, Cross Country - at the Somers Big Red Invitational Peyton ran a 22:07 to finish in 15th place and lead the team to a 6th place finish in the Division 1 race.

    Ella Saltzman, Tennis - 2 wins this week, a doubles victory over Our Lady of Lourdes and her first varsity singles win over a tough opponent from Beacon HS.

    Ryan Wisker, Cross Country - at the Somers Big Red Invitational, Ryan led the team, placing 8th, running a personal record of 17:27.  He helped the team to a 4th place finish in the Division 1 race.

    Ella Saltzman and Natalia Annunziato, Tennis Doubles - these girls played a great tactical match and nearly took a set from a very strong JJXC team.

    Connor Howe, Soccer - senior forward, had 3 goals and an assist to help lead the boys' team to wins over New Rochelle and Somers.

    Sabrina Castelli, Softball - in our 2 sectional games Sabrina had 4 hits and 2 walks in 6 plate appearances.

    Ethan Greenwood, Track & Field - At the Northern Countries Championships, with a PR of 12.03 and helped the 4x400 to a 4th place finish.

    Brooke McHenry, Golf - shot our best score at team sectionals and played well down the stretch.

    James O'Rourke, Lacrosse - scored 2 goals including the game winning goal in OT against White Plains to send the Boys Lacrosse team to the Sectional Quarterfinals.

    Hayden Tarsia, Baseball - complete game 1 hitter with 14 strikeouts to gain the 2-1 win vs. Mamaroneck in sectionals.

    Elizabeht Toth, Track & Field - won the pentathlon with a PR of 2533 points, and PR's in the 100 hurdles, long jump and shot put.

    Stephen Volk, Baseball - senior, walkoff rbi single to help defeat Mamaroneck in sectionals.

    Lyla Dwyer, Softball - game winning walk off single vs. White Plains

    Peter Grimes, Tennis - won his singles match against a tough opponent from Arlington 8-6.

    Brooke McHenry, Golf - low medalist in both wins last week.

    Russell Miller, Track & Field - had a PR of 19 feet .5 inches for the long jump at the Somers Invitational.

    Mackenzie Velsmid, Lacrosse - 4 goals, 3 assists, 3 caused turnovers, 4 ground balls and 14 Draw Controls. vs. Carmel.

    Track & Field 4x800 relay - Emma Egan, Estella Pouani, Ellie Toth and Amelie Guzman won at the Somers Invitational, bringing home gold.

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Meredith Angyal, Track & Field - had a PR jumping 4'10" for high jump placing 2nd overall.

    Nicolette Diedrich, Lacrosse - Junior, in 4 games this week, all wins for the WCSD team. Nicolette scored 26 goals and had 7 assists.  She scored her 100th goal vs. Monroe-Woodbury on Monday.  She is currently the All-time leader in career goals for the Wappingers Girls Lacrosse program with 12 goals.

    Joseph Hernandez, Unified Basketball - Had 11 points total, including a 3 point shot at the buzzer at Pine Plains.

    Myles McKenna, Tennis - Myles won an exciting match vs. RCK that was a battle and went the distance 6-2, 4-6, 11-9.

    Tyler Sturomski, Track & Field - ran the 1600m at the Tiger Relays in Kingston and had a PR of 4:36.48 taking 9 seconds off his time. Tyler placed 6th out of a field of 34 runners.

    Madison Townsend, Golf - shot in the 40's twice (47, 49) and had our team's lowest score of the week (47) as she played a major role in three league wins this past week.

    Stephen Volk, Baseball - senior 2B hit 600 for the week - with a HR (first career), a double and a triple and 2 RBI's - he played flawlessly in the field at second base.

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Emma Barton, Softball - was named to the All-Tournament team at the Yorktown Tournament.

    Brayden Kuczma and James O'Rourke, Lacrosse - combined for 7 goals and 3 assists in the win over Nyack.

    Brooke McHenry, Golf - was the low scorer in the Mid-Hudson Regional Tournament championship and was the low scorer in the league victory over Yorkwotn last week.

    Myles McKenna, Tennis -  won a thrilling comeback matchat first singles vs. Carmel.  Lost the first set 0-6, won the second set 6-4 and took the third set super tiebreak 10-6.

    Sundi Tabb, Unified Basketball - made both foul shots and had 6 points during our game against Kingston.

    Hayden Tarsia, Baseball - junior pitcher, threw a complete game and no hitter vs. Mahopac.  Hayden struck out 7 and walked 2.  It was the first JJ no hitter since Trent Valentine threw a perfect game in 2017.

  • ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

    Alexa Cazzorla, Lacrosse - had 5 goals and 6 assists in the 18-6 win over White Plains.

    Brady Feliciotto, Baseball - sophomore, first year varsity outfielder, hitting .474. Brady plays a flawless OF and is second on the team with 5 RBI's.

    Grace Testa, Golf - Shot a 52 and was the low medalist in the win over Beacon.

    Gino Stacchini, tennis - Freshman who stepped up to play singles against a strong Fox Lane team.  Gino played a consistent and tactfully smart match.

    Nicole Barosa, Softball - threw a complete game on the mound in a 1-0 win over Ardsley in the Yorktown Tournament.

    Agastya Chennamsetty and Aadi Gupte, Tennis Doubles - this freshman doubles team won their first varsity match against OLL in a tight match, winning 6-3, 4-6 and 10-6

    Robert Golden, Basketball - senior, guard, scored 10 points and had a game-high 12 assists for the Patriots against Scarsdale

    Amelie Guzman, Track & Field - won 2 gold medals at the Class AA Championships.  Running a 4:49.29 PR in the 1500m followed by a leg on the 1st place 4 x 800 relay.

    Eric Guzman, Track & Field - sophomore, ran a PR 4:59.38 in the 1600 meters, placing 7th at the Class AA Sectional Championships.

    Lorelei Hansen, Bowling - bowled a 157 for the team-high game against Arlington.

    Logan Mohl, Wrestling - won the 118lb title at Divisionals

    Bryan Sanchez, Basketball - Senior Forward, scored his first points of the season against Carmel after returning to the lineup after more than a year absence.

    Courtney Roth, Bowling - bowled a 187 game against Carmel for the teams high game of the week.

    Patrick Cahill, Track & Field -ran a PR time of 11:14.07 placing 4th in the 3200 meters at the County Championships held at the Armory.  The boys team placed 4th out of 10 schools.

    Miles Clyde, Wappingers Swimming - made a section cut in the 200 free in a time of 1:55.38

    Guy Colabatistto, Wrestling - pinned his Ketcham opponent on Senior Night.

    Stephanie Jean-Baptiste, Basketball - scored 17 points and had 6 rebounds in a win over Carmel and had 16 points in a loss vs. Arlington.

    Emily Mulcahy, Track & Field - jumped a PR of 12'11" in the Long Jump, placing 4th at the Northern County Championships.  The girls' team scored 114 points on their way to a County title.

    Emma Egan, Track & Field - won the 1000m in a PR time of 3:24 at the League Championships.
    Darren Hernandez, Bowling  - bowled a match high 259 against Mahopac.
    Sebastian Morales, Swimming - swam a personal best time in the 50 freestyle.
    Tanner Sokol, Track & Field  - threw a PR in the shot put with a mark of 26'2" at the League Championships at the Armory.

    Owais Khan, Basketball - Sophomore forward, scored 8 points, had 9 rebounds and went 6 for 6 from the Free Throw Line in a home win over Putnam Valley.
    Ryan Majumdar, Swimming - Swam a personal best time in the 50 freestyle in the meet vs. Mamaroneck.
    Evan Prine, Wrestling - at 138 Evan wrestled up 2 weight classes and went 3-2 at Ketcham's Mat Wars.
    Ellie Toth, Track & Field - cleared a PR of 4'8" in the High Jump at the Dendy Meet.
