    Dear Parents/Guardians,

As the national dialogue on school safety continues, we want to emphasize that our students’ well-being remains our highest and most important priority.  Our administration, faculty, and staff are committed to providing a safe, supportive learning environment that empowers our students. Safety Teams have reviewed all protocols and procedures with local law enforcement, and we will continue to drill our preparedness in various situations.  Over the next few weeks, administration and faculty will be holding conversations with students to ensure their concerns are addressed, and their understanding of safety procedures are clear.  Our support staff is available to any students who may require additional assistance in processing the recent events that have affected our educational communities.

The phrase “See Something Say Something” has renewed meaning for all citizens, but especially our young people.  If you or your child is concerned about the motivations of certain groups or individuals, we urge you to contact law enforcement and/or your building principal, or use our online tip form to let us know what is going on.

Now more than ever, we must come together as a Wappingers community to provide our students with the highest level of social/emotional support so they are empowered in order to achieve academic success in our schools.

    The Secondary School Principals
    Mrs. Bonnie Brown King
    Principal John Jay High School
