Reading & Writing recipes
We have been following guided recipes throughout the last few weeks in foods class to produce some delicious products. This lesson will really formally bring together many of the concepts we have already touched on such as: Cooking, cutting and preparation methods, Kitchen tools and equipment, Culinary measuring and math..................
We will learn about the different recipe formats and components. Each student will be asked to bring in a simple recipe from home. They will then have to put their recipe in proper standard format. !!IF TIME ALLOWS!!They will create a final copy of the recipe on a template where they will also include their favorite "Foods Class" memory. Each class will create their own book of recipes/memories and each student will recieve a copy.
