    Safety & Sanitation
     
     
    Before we can begin working in a kitchen laboratory setting, students must master an understanding of kitchen safety procedures and sanitation principles.  This unit will cover 3-4 working class periods. The assignments for this unit will be:  Taking notes during a PP presentation, copying vocabulary, participating in class activities and discussions.  All of this will be completed in class.  Students will not have any work at home unless they did not complete their work in class.  However, feel free to encourage your kids to assist you in the kitchen at home.  Reinforce their learning by discussing different safety topics at home.  Encourage them to share what they are learning - they may be able to teach you a thing or two!
