WELCOME 7th Grade Classes! (and parents :)
I am excited to meet each and every one of you throughout the course of this academic year!
I post important information/reminders here on my home page. Our 10 week curriculum will begin with the Introduction Days 1 & 2 and progress in the sequence it is listed . Information and lesson descriptions are available on each page - just click.
All students will need either a two pocket folder or three ring binder designated solely for "Foods Management" class. Students will also need paper and pencil each day. If you have any questions or concerns about ingredients - please do not hesitate to contact me. Most recipes are available on the "Student Kitchen Lab and Recipes" for you to preview.
HOMEWORK ~ If a student is present and on task each day, there should be no work that needs to be completed outside of the class. Students earn their grade by completing their class/unit work in class, performing in their kitchen food labs, and actively participating.
What's Cooking?

I am looking forward to the beginning of the year at Wappingers Junior High School. If you would like to know a little bit about me and my educational background, please read on. I have a Bachelors degree from the Culinary Institute of America and received my Masters in Education through SUNY Oswego. I am certified in the areas of Family and Consumer Science (K-12) and Career & Technical Education (Food & nutrition / Culinary Careers 7-12). Most importantly, I am the mother of two school aged children. I am passionate about the Food Management curriculum here at Wappingers Junior High School and hope to be an inspiration to the incoming seventh grade classes. Parents, please review the classroom expectations with your children. They are to bring back the signed agreement. Your child should be bringing this home. For your convenience, I have attached both documents at the bottom of the page. Please use my teacher page to access up to date information and assignments.
