Materials Processing - Metals
Course Description: Metals manufacturing processes is a half year course designed for students who have an interest in the craft and art of metalworking. This program focuses on the fundamentals of metalworking, machine operation, properties of metals, and above all safety. This course will give students a background in the field of metalworking encompassing such skills as machining, welding, forging, and sheet metalwork.
Coursework: There is an in-class assignment every Monday and Friday. If a student misses one of these days with a legal absences, they will be able to make-up the assignment. Students will complete a number of different projects throughout the class.
