    Dear Class of 2020,

I hope this finds you and your family safe and healthy.  As I am sure you are aware, by executive order of the Governor, schools will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019 - 2020 school year.  This news is emotional for all, but undoubtedly hardest for our seniors. During the spring semester, high school seniors experience and celebrate college acceptances, induction ceremonies, awards, Senior prom, Senior barbecue, musicals/concerts, club events, athletic competitions and the Class of 2020 Commencement Exercises. With school being closed for the remainder of the year, there are so many traditions that remain uncertain due to executive orders of social distancing and the number of people allowed to gather in one place.

In the past,  RCK has made it a priority to give our students the very best experience in all aspects of their educational journey.  Although we are facing extremely difficult circumstances, I am working with the PTSA, senior counselors, class advisors and class officers to develop contingency plans to celebrate in the event that we cannot do so in the traditional fashion due to these executive orders.  As we develop these plans, it is vital that we work together to provide the most memorable experiences for our seniors in the safest way possible.  If you have ideas you would like to share, please reach out to myself or our PTSA President, Liz Vilato.

In addition to working with key stakeholders at RCK, I am collaborating with John Jay's Principal, Mr. Kedzielawa. It is truly important that both communities work together to provide the very best for our students. We are collaborating to provide our seniors something they can look back upon with fond memories.

As more information materializes about senior events, I will be communicating them to you. Please stay safe.

    Hello Families of RCK,

First and foremost, I hope that this finds you and your family well. By now, you have likely heard the news either from our Governor or our School Superintendent that schools will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019 - 2020 school year. We will continue with the distance learning for the remainder of this school year.

If you have not done so already I encourage you to review the grading system that the district has adopted for the 4th marking period.

Please know that our teachers/staff are working extremely hard to balance providing your child(ren) with solid educational opportunities, but yet not trying to overwhelm them under the current circumstances. We know that these are difficult times and want you to be assured that we are here for you and your families to provide support for more than just educational needs. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher, counselor, support staff or administrator if there is assistance that we may provide or resources that we can recommend.   We are many households but all one family at RCK and together we will get through this.

Please continue to stay safe and healthy.

Tip Line

  • Wappingers CSD is now using Anonymous Alerts®

The Anonymous Alerts® reporting app was created to help students, parents or community members choose a school official to contact, type of incident to report, school building and/or a specific location, set a priority level of normal or high and upload a photo, screenshot or video related to the incident.  This reporting system is meant to allow for anonymous reporting but still provides for District and Building Administrators to respond (via the app) to the person who submitted a tip to the District.

If you plan on submitting an alert anonymously please be sure to check the "message center" in the application itself to see any responses to your tip, or requests from District Officials for additional information.

The purpose of the app is for members of our school and community to report suspicious activity, bullying or student-related concerns to a school administrator. For all other reports, please contact your child's school directly. If you feel the need to keep this submission anonymous that is OK, we completely respect your right to privacy and appreciate you making us aware.
