Name: Mr. RopesSubject: Honors & AP-C PhysicsEmail: charles.ropes@wcsdny.orgPhone: 845-298-5100x31070Dear Physics Students,It is now clear that we will be starting the year remote. There are many unanswered questions, and much of what we do in the beginning will be a learning experience for both of us. Please be patient and know that I am here for you at all times. I have set up your Google Classroom for the year, and will be sending you an email in the upcoming days regarding how to connect to the Classroom and registering for Remind. I look forward to meeting you all, and certainly hope that we can be together in late October when we are scheduled to go hybrid. While not cast in stone, I am going to try to follow a "flipped" model for my classes this year. What this basically means is that rather than you coming to my class to hear me lecture, you will hear me lecture through videos. This will afford me more time to go over questions that you may have when we do meet. We will be able to focus more on solving problems in class, yet at the same time enforcing the concepts presented in the video. In addition, the remote learning model our district has implemented requires us to meet in 25-minute blocks. This means that we will have limited time to go over material. We certainly will not have a lot of time to get into anything in great depth. Furthermore, since this is a lab class, we will meet for as much as 50 minutes on lab days. See the time schedule below.
