    Dear Mathematicians and Families,

Hi! So it seems that it has been so much more than since March 6th that I have seen you!

Life has changed so much and I hope this note finds you all well and your families well. I just wanted to check in and let you know how I plan to run our class for the foreseeable future.

Each assignment will be in Google Classroom and will have due dates there.   The district will be taking attendance by your participation in our classwork so please make sure you look at due dates etc and let me know by email if a date falls into a time that you can not do because of any reason.  If you are a parent and want to be invited to our classroom, let me know by email. We have used Classroom all year, so it should not be new to students.

DCC has asked for a date and format of our final exams.  I am predicting that the DCC final for Honors Precalculus will be around the first week of May and the WCSD portion of the exam will be about 4 weeks after that if we do not return to school.

For DCC Calculus, the final exam will be around the 2nd week of May and there will be projects after that to complete the last part of the year.  For AB calculus, we have just completed the course and are in review mode.  Our review will concentrate on a combination of the College Board review sessions and review sheets that I will post online through the classroom. The new date for the AP will come out on April 3rd.

I will be available for office hours for Calculus on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30-10:30 and Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00-2.  I will be available for office hours for PreCalculus on Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 and Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00-2.  I will put a link for a Google Hangout to catch me live or you can reach me live through email at that time and I will get right back to you.  If these times do not work for you, email me and we can set up an appointment for another time.

I would like to get us together live as a class at least once a week!  There will be a survey in your classroom to fill out to decide when it is best for us to “meet”.  There will be some videos on your assignments but a live meeting would be a fun way to reconnect as well.

I am sure that you have questions, I know I have many…….Please ask and I will try to answer or send you to someone who may know.

Hope to see you all soon,

    Ms. Siebert
