SCHOOL YEAR 2021-2022
Per the WCSD Reopening Plan 2021-2022:
- The CDC no longer recommends temperature screenings or screening questionnaires at or prior to school. However, families are reminded and encouraged to be mindful of indications their children may exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 and to seek testing when such symptoms are present. The CDC maintains a list of COVID-19 symptoms on its website. In the event that a child is exhibiting COVID like symptoms they should not attend school that day, or until symptoms subside.
Per the Dutchess County Health Department:
Dutchess County Protocol for Symptomatic or Positive COVID for VW updated 12122.docx
NYS DOH Isolation and Quarantine Guidelines
Anyone who is sent home from school with one or more possible symptoms of COVID, must either stay home for a full 5 days OR get a COVID Test, (if the results are negative, once the Van Wyck Health Office gets a copy of the results, your child may return to school), OR see a physician and if that physician writes that these symptoms are NOT COVID related, once the Van Wyck Health Office gets a copy of the MD note, your child may return to school OR go to District Office ONCE SYMPTOM FREE for a free COVID test -
