April 5, 2021 Dear Parents and Guardians, I hope you had a wonderful holiday and Spring recess. The purpose of this letter is to remind parents that the 4th and final quarter of the school year begins April 12. We continue making arrangements to safely accommodate children who want to return to in-person learning for either two or four days. While many letters were already sent home, our work is not complete, and as I stated on March 21, you will hear from us this week. The advisors to the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) are finalizing arrangements for the peer review of applicants by our faculty council. The NJHS advisors will be back in touch once the faculty council has reviewed applications submitted according to specific guidelines. April is National Library Month and I would like to give a huge shout-out to Aileen Basuljevic, our librarian, who devotes so much of her time to not only library services, but to Griffin Stage and Multicultural Club. We are fortunate to have her teaching and guiding our young people. The first week in April is also Assistant Principals Recognition Week. I know you join me in recognizing Mr. Siena and Mr. Vandecarr for their time, dedication, and service to our children and school community. I would like to wish members of our school community a wonderful Ramadan that begins on April 12. Please remember to complete the ezSCRN before sending your children to school. If your children have any of the 14 COVID symptoms, please do not send your children to school and call the health office. Tuesday, April 12, is Day 6. I wish you all a great week. Sincerely, Dr. Steven H. Shuchat, Principal |

The Anonymous Alerts® reporting app was created to help students, parents or community members choose a school official to contact, type of incident to report, school building and/or a specific location, set a priority level of normal or high and upload a photo, screenshot or video related to the incident. This reporting system is meant to allow for anonymous reporting but still provides for District and Building Administrators to respond (via the app) to the person who submitted a tip to the District.
If you plan on submitting an alert anonymously please be sure to check the "message center" in the application itself to see any responses to your tip, or requests from District Officials for additional information.
The purpose of the app is for members of our school and community to report suspicious activity, bullying or student-related concerns to a school administrator. For all other reports, please contact your child's school directly. If you feel the need to keep this submission anonymous that is OK, we completely respect your right to privacy and appreciate you making us aware.
