Good Morning Ketcham Nation!
Today is Day 5
Today’s Motivation: “I am America. I am the part you won’t recognize. But get used to me. Black, confident, cocky; my name, not yours; my religion, not yours; my goals, my own; get used to me.” Muhammad Ali was an American professional boxer, activist, entertainer, poet and philanthropist. Nicknamed “The Greatest,” he was widely regarded as one of the most significant and celebrated sports figures of the 20th century and is frequently ranked as the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time.
Black History Month is a time to honor the contributions and legacy of African Americans across U.S. history and society, from activists and civil rights pioneers to leaders in industry, politics, science, culture, and more. During the month of February, we will be celebrating with daily quotes on our morning announcements, the marquee, and a slideshow on school TV monitors.

January 2025
Greetings Ketcham Nation!
The new year is flying by and we are excited for what 2025 brings here at RCK! Our school has been abuzz with activity from all of our clubs. We have continued the Lunch & Learn series where students can learn about interesting career choices, and we have ongoing college visits and military visits. Our students have so many options to get information to help with their future paths.
Our incredible Masque & Mime society is already hard at work rehearsing for the spring musical, Mary Poppins. We are really looking forward to their production. Our winter sports teams have been enjoying success and we encourage you to come out and support them when they play.
Don't forget to mark your calendar for Feb. 13 and help us pack the cafeteria for Bingo for Prizes Night! This annual event, run by our Student Council, is a favorite in our community and always so much fun!
Second quarter marking period ends on Jan. 24. We know our students are working hard to keep their grades up, attend classes and be on time to school. Please check your student's schedule in Parent Portal in case they have any schedule changes as the new quarter begins on Monday, Jan. 27.
Just a reminder - schools are closed on Monday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day. For the remainder of the week (Jan 21-24) only students who are taking Regents exams will attend school. Details for students are available on the RCK and WCSD websites. We encourage all of those taking exams to get plenty of rest, try to have a nutritious meal before coming to school and to do some stretching and deep breathing in advance of your test to relax your muscles and your mind.
Schools are also closed on Jan. 29 in honor of Lunar New Year. The school calendar can always be reviewed on the RCK website - https://www.wappingersschools.org/Page/8446
As always, Hudson Valley winters bring difficult weather and we will continue to alert you when schedules are affected. Please remember to keep the Delay Bell Schedule (found on the RCK website) handy so you can be familiar with it.
Thank you again for your continued support of our students, faculty, staff and administration. It is this wonderful partnership that makes Ketcham the best place to be!
