All classes will be required to work with the website www.quia.com for class activities and, in the future, quizzes. To log in, follow these steps:
1. Go to www.quia.com (duh) click on the center section, Quia Web.
2. Your user name is your first and last names together, no spaces, all lowercase, followed by 336
example: johnsmith336
If your name does not work, try logging in with the name I call you in class (johnnysmith36).
3. Your password is spanish - all lowercase. You may change your password, but I will not have access to it, so I do not recommend changing it.
4. Click on the class web page link. A list of all activities will appear. Java games are your vocabulary lists - you can do flashcards, word finds, or concentration games. Quizzes are practice quizzes that you can use for review or before a test. Other options are battleship, cloze, hangman and rags to riches (millionaire). Remember that if you are taking fill-in questions that need accent marks, there is a "floating" accent bar you can use!
If at any time you can not log into quia, you must email me immediately so I can help you!! Sometimes it's a matter of changing browsers, other times I might have to troubleshoot from my teacher account.
