Welcome to music!!!  In first grade we learn how to do some very important things in music. Some children will learn how to use their singing voices for the very first time, while others will develop their singing voices.  They will learn how to keep a steady beat which will eventually lead to note reading. We also learn the musical story of Peter and the Wolf. Here are the Wappingers Music Outcomes for First Grade Music. If you would like to see a more detailed description about what your children are learning in music, please call me or e-mail me and I will give you a detailed copy of our outcomes and indicators.
