15 Things To Do When You Are Stuck Inside.
By: A.B.- A terrific member of our Newspaper Club- with some changes as this was originally made for wintertime.
So you are stuck inside? What are you supposed to do? This is a very big list of things to do when you're bored inside.
1. Make slime. Fluffy slime: https://www.thebestideasforkids.com/fluffy-slime-recipe/ or regular slime: glitter used here, but you don’t need it. https://www.thekitchn.com/how-to-make-3-ingredient-slime-without-borax-245904
2. Watch movies at home- go through things you haven’t seen in a while.
3. Most people have seen all the Harry Potter movies, now read all of the Harry Potter books! (Hint, if you read the books, you’ll have more of a chance of convincing your parents to go to Universal Studios in Florida, where Harry Potter World is!!!)
4. Have a dance party! Throw on your favorite tunes and dance like nobody's watching (even though people are most likely watching).
5. Check if it is OK to have a sleepover party! Invite all of your besties and paint nails, watch Netflix and whack each other with your pillows until your mom comes in and you act like you have been sleeping the whole time! Do you like gaming? Invite your friends over and have a gaming sleepover! Raid the pantry, prank your older sibling, hide out in your room and play video games with your friends!
If you can’t have a sleepover, try to facetime so you can interact together.
6. Make a geode!!! They are fun to make and they look so pretty when they are done. You can find instructions at: https://www.thoughtco.com/how-to-make-a-crystal-geode-606229
7. Play old board games. It’s more fun than you think!
8. Watch a movie at home. Who needs the noisy theatre? Get whoever is home together!
9. Write a short story or poem. Maybe you could be the next bestselling author!
10. Make a movie. It can be about ANYTHING you like!
11. Sing and dance to your heart's content
12. Learn a new skill! Juggling, dancing, music, a new instrument, anything brand new!
13. Build a fort! Raid all the couches and beds in your house and build an impressive fort. Create a special sign- have fun with it!
14. Get in the kitchen and make something! If you are using heat, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN ADULT WITH YOU! Who knows? Maybe you could be the next Gordon Ramsay (ask your parent if you don't know who that is)
15. Start a journal, or update one you already have. Put your thoughts and ideas in your own, special place.
