    Parents tha
t model a love for books help their children develop the same feelings.
Statistics prove that children that come from the homes of reading parents have stronger
vocabularies and are better readers...so get cracking! Here are a few books that I enjoyed
reading. Please share your recommendations with me too!

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time by Mark Haddon
This book brought me back to reading. It's eye opening because it's written
from an autistic child's point of view.

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
A twisted tale about the relationship between two boys living in Afghanistan.

journey of self discovery.... and it is being made into a movie!

Who doesn't like reading about zany, dysfunctional families? His quick-read
memoirs are risque but very amusing.

A beautifully written story about a young girl and the turns her life takes
once she runs away from her abusive father.

This book tells the lives of four sisters from Nova Scotia living in pre
World War One era to the Jazz Age and the depression. Themes include pain,
death, joy, triumph, but the best of all is the theme of love for one's
family. Warped family structures and twisted relationships kept me reading
    into the night!

This is a story of an overweight girl struggling to grow up with family and self image issues. issues. It provides a good insight into depression.
