Book Suggestions for Kids
I love, love, love children's literature.  Below are some of my favorite authors.  Enjoy!  :)
Remember, reading IS an enjoyable experience for your child.  Be conscious of the book's difficulty level and your child's current ability.  Urging kids to "try harder" as they struggle through each page is not fun for your child or you, and it will NOT make your child a better reader.  Read these books TO your child.  Stick with books that your child is interested in and can read easily.  Successful and enjoyable experiences with books will promote a love for reading.
