How to take
a test
Here are 10 tips to help you rock any test you may take!!!
Before the test....
1. Stop worrying and start studying. Being well prepared is the best way to do well on any test!
2. Get a good night's sleep before, and have a healthy breakfast on, the day of the test.
3. Do not try to read all of your notes or study minutes before the test. It will most likely just confuse
you.
During the test....
4. Read the test from beginning to end. You will be able to judge how much time you should spend
on each part.
5. Read all directions carefully. Be sure you understand them before you begin.
6. Answer all the questions you know the answers to, first. Then you'll have more time to spend on
the harder parts.
7. Types of Questions:
a. Multiple Choice: Cross out the answers you know are incorrect. Also, you may find clues to
the correct answer in some of the other questions.
b. True/False: If you just can't remember a particular answer, GUESS! Don't leave blanks! You
have a 50% chance of being right!
c. Essay: If you have trouble getting started, write down any information you DO know on a
piece of scrap paper. This may help you think of ideas to write your response.
8. Write neatly!!!
9. Reread the questions and check your answers before you hand in the test.
After the test....
10. Go over every question. Review those you got right and try to find the correct answers to those
you got wrong.
