• I am thrilled about entering my 22nd year here at Evans. My family and I 
    moved to New York 23 years ago from Virgina. I previously taught Kindergarten and 
    Pre-Kindergarten in Newport News, Virginia, where my husband was stationed 
    in the U.S. Navy.  I have 2 grown children and a grandson.  I enjoy reading, gardening and 
    watching the Yankees  and JETS!
    This is my 30th year teaching and I thoroughly enjoy the primary 
    grades.  I have a Master's Degree in Literacy from Mercy College and I have 
    a strong desire to help children acquire the skills necessary to become successful readers.
