FAQ
1) How do I know if there is homework?
Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. Studying for assessments and reading is recommended over the weekend. The students write the homework in their planner everyday. Please initial/sign each night in the reading log section of the planner. This is the only section we ask you to sign. By signing here, we assume that the child read and you have viewed his/her planner for that day. This ensures that the children, parents, and teachers are all on the same page. Also, homework will be posted on our teacher webpage daily.
2) What kind of homework will my child bring home?
Typically homework will be assigned in math and reading. The students are required to read for 20 minutes and fill out the reading log section in their planner each night. Homework in other subjects, such as writing, social studies or science, may be given. Studying multiplication/division facts are important to do often.3) How can I get in touch with the teachers?
You can write us a note, send us an email, or call the school. Teachers now have extensions for their classroom phones. Ours are 51041 (Mrs. Munoz) and 51238 (Mrs. Tarantino). If you call these extensions, it will go directly to voicemail. You can leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Otherwise, if it is time sensitive information, you can call one of the secretaries in the main office.
4) Can I bring in a treat for my child's birthday?
Students may bring in something to share with the class, such as pencils, erasers, etc., but no edible treats.5) What is our daily schedule?8:25- school begins
