About The Teacher
Mrs. Feltman grew up in Cold Spring. She went to elementary school, middle school and high school at
Haldane. She went to Dutchess Community College and got her Associates Degree. Then she earned
her Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY New Paltz. Finally, she returned to SUNY New Paltz to get her
Master’s Degree in Special Education.
She got married in August 2003 to Mr. Feltman in St. Lucia. It was beautiful! Mrs. Feltman has two
sisters and a step-sister. One sister lives in Virginia and the other two live in the area. Mrs. Feltman
lives in Hopewell Junction with her husband, daughter, son and pets. Our daughter's name is Ashlynn
and our son’s name is Nathanial. We love watching them grow and learn new things. We have one
adorable Havanese named Otis. We also have a sweet, black Labrador named Oliver (Olly).
Our two Sun Conures names are Scooby and Patrick. They are beautiful birds! I call
them Sweety and Tweety:) Since we've settled into our new home, Ashlynn and Nathan were allowed
to choose a small pet because they've been very cooperative and understanding during the long process
of moving. Ashlynn chose a guinea pig and named him Oscar. Nathan chose an iguana and named him
the Mean Green Lizard Machine! We also have a beautiful tankful of fresh water fish and our newest
addition is a sweet chinchilla named Opie! As you can imagine, our house can be a little noisy at times!
Mrs. Feltman loves her family, friends, pets and she absolutely loves teaching children. It's always been
a dream of hers to become a teacher! Fishkill Plains was my home from 2002-2015. It was a great place
to teach!
Now, my new home is at Gayhead Elementary School! I look forward to many wonderful years teaching
here! Thank you for welcoming me into the Gayhead family!
Mission For The Class
