• Homework is usually sent home each night with the exception of Fridays.
*Your child has a Homework Notebook to record his/her assignments
    each night.
*Each week there is a Reading Log for your child to complete. It goes
home on Friday and is due the following Friday. Reading practice at home
is crucial for your child's development and success.
*Your child can use books from home, books from the school library,
Raz-kids, or even borrow books from the classroom.
*Each month, there is a Book Report for your child to complete
on a specific theme/topic. It is due at the end of the month or before.
Once again, if you need a specific type of book, please feel free to
borrow mine, check the school library, or check on Raz-kids.
    Extra Reinforcement Ideas.....
*It is extremely helpful to make flashcards for the unit words and/
or trick words we are working on and mix them up when practicing.
Otherwise, they tend to memorize the order of the words. If your child
can read and spell them, have them explain them to you and use them
    in sentences.
*Reviewing current math strategies and practicing math facts
to 20 and beyond is always helpful.
*If you are unable to complete an assignment by the due date,
just let me know through email or a note so I can expect it on
a later day. I understand that nights are busy and it's difficult
    at times to get done
    .
