Here's a little information about me.....
I reside in Hyde Park with my husband and two daughters, Kasey (15) and Karly (soon to be 9). As a working mother, I am very grateful to have the weekends, holidays, and summers off to spend with my family. We are always busy making playdates, traveling, doing homework, and running to basketball or soccer practice.
As far as my education.... After obtaining a degree in Elementary Education from Iona College, I attended SUNY New Paltz for my Masters Degree in Special Education. This led to being hired as a self-contained special education teacher in 1996 at Brinckerhoff. After five years, I had the opportunity to try something new. So, I went on to teach first grade here at Brinckerhoff and loved it! After 10 years, it was time to make another change....In 2011, I moved up the hallway a bit to teach second grade and had a wonderful first year. I know there are more changes and challenges to come, but I hope to spend many years teaching second grade at Brinckerhoff.
