    Homework Policy
     
    In place of traditional homework sheets, I ask that my students read at home for at least 20 minutes each night. This can be anything that your child (with your approval) finds interesting.
     
    In addition, students are assigned a list of vocabulary and spelling words each week. It is very helpful to go over the words at home in order to become even more familiar with them. The vocabulary words are most important. Building bigger vocabularies is known to be one of the best ways to help children improve in all academic areas.
     
    We will study spelling and vocabulary words in school as well.
