About the Teacher:
I grew up in Wappingers Falls and went through the Wappingers Central School District. I attended college at East Carolina University in North Carolina where I received my Bachelor's Degree in education. After graduating in 2000, I returned to New York where I was a substitute for the school district and worked on getting my Masters Degree from Western Connecticut State University. In 2001, I started my first year as a fifth grade teacher at Sheafe Road Elementary School. A few years later I got married and had two children. In 2006 I had my first son, Quinn, and in 2009 I had my youngest son, Jack. My husband, sons, and I reside with our Golden Retriever, Mellow, in Poughkeepsie.
I love my job. I am proud to work at Sheafe Road Elementary School. It is truly a great place to teach as well as learn. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my boys, reading, and working around the house. I am a New York Mets and Jets fans and attend the games as often as I can.
I look forward to another great school year and working with a new group of students. I enjoy watching them learn and grow.
