DRESS: Wear something nice, but comfortable. We want to look our best.

Ladies: A dress, skirt or dress pants with a blouse.  Please no perfume, excessive hair spray, or high-heeled shoes.

Gentlemen: Nice pants with a collared shirt; a tie would be great, but not necessary.  Please do not wear jeans, T-shirts, or sneakers.

ATTENDANCE:  Attendance is extremely important, and it is part of the district curriculum.  Each one of you is an important member of our team!  If there are extenuating circumstances as to why your child cannot attend the evening performance, please contact me ahead of time.  In case of inclement weather, go to www.wappingersschools.org for information regarding concert cancellations.

OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS: One of our district goals for music is to teach the students about proper performance behavior and proper audience behavior.  Our district music outcomes state that children should learn to “be attentive, still, and quiet as a performer and an audience member, enter and leave only between groups or during the applause, and stay for a concert’s entirety.”  We hope that you will see the results of our hard work to achieve these goals as well as our musical goals.  We ask that you help us in reinforcing proper etiquette during the performance.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at 897-6800 during school hours, or to email me at micia.trainor@wcsdny.org.  The students are working hard to create beautiful music for you!  It has been wonderful working with these fine singers!

                                                                                                                Sincerely,

    Mrs. Micia Trainor
