    About Mrs. Bell

The 2024- 2025 school year is my FIRST YEAR teaching at Myers Corners Elementary School, but my 17th year in the WCSD!

    I am looking forward to
another terrific year! I have taught self contained classes, ICT and AIS in the past.

I grew up and was educated in the Wappingers Central School
    District. I have since worked

to earn certification in Elementary and Special Education at Mount St. Mary College and a M.S.

degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. I worked hard and earned my Wilson Reading

Program Certificate for Level 1 certification in the 2011-2012 school year.

During the 2021-2022 school year, I was trained on the Orton -Gillingham approach

to literacy instruction. Having the education and experience with different literacy programs

and practices helps to guide me towards the best support to provide for each individual student.

I love to teach, watch movies, and read. I also love to spend

time with my husband, our two sons, and our dog, Odie.

    Objective

To create a welcoming, safe learning environment where students are encouraged and

feel comfortable. To provide the content in a variety of ways that will interest and

inspire the students to want to learn more, to ask questions, and to be successful.

Progress over perfection is the key to learning!
