We recognize that hearing the word "lice" can make even the bravest of humans a little nervous!  A diagnosis of lice has nothing to do with a person's hygiene or home life.  Lice happens and it's going to be OK!  We're here to help!  If we are made aware of a case of lice in a classroom, the health office staff will check each student individually.   If a student is suspected to have lice we will notify the parent directly and in a timely fashion.  A letter will also go home to each family so that you are aware and can continue to monitor at home.  Again, only children we have found to have signs of lice or the possibility of a case starting will get a phone call home. All others will get a letter home and we will rely on your continued monitoring to help us!
