Hello Parents and Caregivers,
I miss seeing your childrens’ faces so much! I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. The district is still working on rolling out the plan for what speech services will look like in the coming weeks, but I wanted to touch base with all of you.
It looks like I will either be added as a “co-teacher” on your child’s teacher’s google classroom, or creating an individual google classroom for your child, depending on your teacher’s preference and further guidance from the district. Either way, I will be able to send individualized activities to your child.
In the meantime, you can find activities and games on my website. Speech is also supposed to be fun! I strongly feel that when a child is learning through an activity or game, they will be more motivated to learn and retain the information they are learning. In addition to the weekly assignments that I will be sending, you can have your child work on the games and activities from this website. Just do your best and know that I’m here to guide you and help you in any way I can. I want remote learning to be as easy as possible for you.
I will have office hours from 8-9 a.m. Monday through Friday. During this time, you can email me with the best number to reach you and as long as I am not speaking with another parent I will call you right away. You can always email me outside of office hours and I will respond as soon as possible.
If you haven’t received anything from me through google classroom by the end of next week, please email me.
I understand how overwhelming this process may be to start (we are overwhelmed too!) and I will try my best to work out a system that doesn’t cause added stress. Keep healthy! Keep safe and remember we are all in this together!

Hi Students, Parents and Caregivers,
I hope you and your family are doing well through these difficult times. I miss seeing my students and hope they are all doing well too! I just wanted to reach out and provide an update on speech/language services. Prior to our extended break, I had updated my website with a number of resources which I hope you found helpful.
Please let me know if you have any specific questions that I can answer regarding your child at this time. My office hours will be shared with you in the next day or so and will be on my website. Be well and stay safe and remember we are all in this together!

For the next few weeks you can use links to speech and language websites to work with your child at home. Please click on the tab on the left called “Language and Articulation Activities”. Under this tab you will find links to printable worksheets, language games, articulation word lists and articulation games. Please click on the bottom that says “more” to see the complete list. You can also look at your child's goals on their IEP as a guide to select what activities you would like to work on. Please reach out to me via email if you have any questions or concerns. Stay safe!
*** Whichever activity or worksheet you plan on choosing, feel free to read the text to your child. They do not have to do it independently. In speech sessions, I read the text for them and then we talk about the answer to the questions.
