I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Maine. I graduated from Endicott College, in Beverly MA, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education (K-6). I then went on to Michigan State University and graduated with a Masters in Literacy Instruction. I have been teaching for a total of fifteen years.

    I am married to a wonderful man named David, who is a professor in the division of education at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY. As you can imagine, because we are both educators, many of our conversations revolve around the teaching of children.We have four amazing children of our own, Shea (12), Maddox (10), Acadia (8), Reese (5). I enjoy spending my time playing with my children, being outdoors, and of course READING!
