    A March activity page was provided.  Please complete the activity scheduled for that day.  Please document on the two week activity page provided.  

    There is also a link page and a home activity page.  Choose one activity from either of the pages and perform daily. 

    7th and 8th grade students can use the links provided along with the Van Wyck Physical Education website.


    New York State Physical Education Standards

    Standard 1

    Personal Health and Fitness

    Students will have the necessary knowledge and skills to establish and maintain physical fitness, participate in physical activity, and maintain personal health.


    Standard 2

    A Safe and Healthy Environment

    Students will acquire the knowledge and ability necessary to create and maintain a safe and healthy environment.


    Standard 3

    Resource Management

    Students will understand and be able to manage their personal and community resources.


    High quality physical education provides students with a planned, sequential, K-8 program designed to develop motor skills, knowledge and behaviors for active living, physical fitness, sportspersonship, self-efficacy and emotional intelligence. Regardless of the mode (face-to-face, hybrid or online), the goal of physical education is to develop physically literate individuals who have the knowledge, skills and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical activity.
