Myers Corners Students to Auction Art Work at Poughkeepsie Gallery
Myers Corners Elementary School is organizing a special event on Thursday, April 20th from 4:50 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be an Art show to benefit the Marie Fareri Children's Hospital will take place at Poughkeepsie Art Gallery.
Approximately 100 students from Myers Corners have donated artwork to be sold at the auction for the benefit of Marie Fareri Children's Hospital. The idea for the event came from one of their own fourth-grade students, Jack Harkins. His younger brother, a first grader at Myers Corners, was recently cleared to come back to school after completing treatment at the hospital.
What a wonderful example of our students demonstrating our District's core values, "The health and quality of a community are dependent on the responsible contributions of all its members."
