Congratulations to RCK Senior Naraya Price: Youth Honoree at the MLK, Jr. Breakfast

Naraya Price is currently a senior at Roy C. Ketcham High School. She is on track to graduate with an Advanced Regents Diploma in 2017, where she ranks in the top ten percent of her class. In her junior year, Naraya was inducted into the National Honor Society. She also received a Rotary Leadership Award for Student of the Month.
In Naraya's freshman year, she represented the United States as a Student Ambassador at the Education First Tours Global Student Leaders Summit in Shanghai, China. She was selected as an Emerging Leader in the tenth grade to represent Roy C. Ketcham High School at the Marist College Emerging Leaders of the Hudson Valley Conference. She was also selected to be a conferee at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Conference in her sophomore year. In her junior year, she was a participant of the Chamber Foundation Youth Leadership Program.
Naraya was a member of the Forensics and Debate Society, the Yearbook Club, F.B.L.A. and the Volleyball Team. She started her own club known as the "Global Initiates of Change" for the purpose of giving back to underserved populations and providing students with a global perspective and awareness of international humanitarian needs as it relates to vulnerable populations. Naraya served as a volunteer at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, a local women's shelter and as a mentor to children participating in Cornell 4H Cooperative. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, art and the outdoors.
After Naraya graduates from high school , she hopes to attend Duke University and persue a double major in Cultural Anthropology and Biology. With these degrees, Naraya will attend medical school. She would like to work with Doctors Without Borders.
