As our students participate more in Google handouts and other video conference opportunities, we wanted to share some web etiquette suggestions that will make this environment more effective for everyone.

When entering a live online meeting, mute yourself (if you are not muted already)

If you have questions or something to contribute to the conversation, enter them into the chat text box and wait for the teacher to call on you.

Only one student at a time should be speaking at a time into an unmuted device. This will minimize disruption and feedback within the meeting.

If possible, try to look into the camera when you are speaking.

Pay attention to the teacher and others when they are speaking.
