SEPAC Meeting - March 26 at Gayhead Elementary

The next meeting of the WCSD Special Education Parent Advisory Committee will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 26 at Gayhead Elementary School.

Ketcham vs John Jay Faculty

Basketball Game on Friday 3/29

The battle line has been drawn and bragging rights are on the line!  Come out this Friday to see Roy C. Ketcham faculty members take on John Jay faculty in a basketball battle.

The game will be held at RCK.  Doors open at 5 p.m. and tip-off is at 6 p.m.  Food will be available to purchase. Tickets can be purchased from players, each administrative office at both JJ & RCK, and also at the door.  Proceeds go to student government.

Parent University at Evans 3/28
All Elementary Parents May Register

James S. Evans Elementary School will be hosting a Parent University from 6 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28.  All elementary parents are welcome to register.  Please email  to confirm your attendance and workshop preference. Click here to see the flyer detailing the choices.

Attendees should arrive at 5:45 p.m. to sign in for your workshop.






Calendar Changes if no more Emergency Days are Needed

Please note in the event that there are no other school cancellations (closings), the Board of Education has approved the following revisions to the 2018-2019 WCSD school calendar: May 23 will be a Superintendent's Conference Day, May 24 and May 28 will be designated as "give back" days.  

Food Services & Wellness Opportunities Community Survey

WCSD's Wellness Committee is asking for your participation in a short survey.  We value your feedback on the current school breakfast/lunch items being served, as well as the wellness opportunities that your school has to offer.

Requests for Daycare, Babysitter, Private & Parochial Transportation Due by April 1

The Wappingers Central School District's Transportation Department reminds all parents that transportation requests to private or parochial schools, daycare facilities, and babysitters must be filed annually and be received by the District no later than April 1, 2019, for the 2019-2020 school year. Click here to download the form you need.

Applications are available at all public, private, and parochial schools. If you are new to the District, you must register your child before transportation is provided.

Please call the Central Registration Office at 25 Corporate Park Drive, PO Box 396, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533 (845-298-5000 x 40132) to schedule an appointment. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.  Proof of residency must be provided.

Free Math Tutoring Available

Free math tutoring is available for WCSD students in grades 7-12. 

Sessions are held from 7 to 8 p.m. most Wednesday evenings at Van Wyck Junior High School.  Click here for more information.


This Weekend Masque & Mime Presents: The Sound of Music

Roy C. Ketcham's drama club, the Masque & Mime Society, will present "The Sound of Music"  this weekend. 

Shows for Friday and Saturday, March 29 and 30, will be at 7:30 p.m.  Sunday's performance will be at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for students.

WJHS Hosting STEAM It Up Bistro Night

Wappingers Junior High School is holding a STEAM It Up Bistro Night, at 7 p.m. Friday, March 29.  Please click here for more information about the exciting events that are planned.

Open Houses Scheduled for Thursday at Vassar Road and Sheafe Road Elementary

Spring open houses continue throughout WCSD.  This Thursday, March 28, both Sheafe Road and Vassar Road Elementary will host parents and guardians.

Vassar Road begins at 6:00 p.m.

Sheafe Road begins at 6:30 p.m.
