    Hello 3rd Grade Families,

Thank you for being so wonderful during this time. In case you were not able to pick up work on Monday, 3/16, all of our assignments have been posted to google classroom. Your children are experts at using google classroom in school, but have yet to use it at home.  Please follow these directions to access google classroom at home:

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EI7DcCXxb7NcjgxP_Vf9MrgMJkkaIhWbM7NEqaEAXcM/edit?ts=5e6a83f3

Please follow the instructions and then when you get to our google classroom, go to "Classwork" and then scroll down till you see "Work while school is closed!".

If you have any questions, please email me!  Love, Mrs. McCann

My name is Mrs. McCann and this is my eighteenth year of teaching.  I live in Hopewell Junction with my husband and four children.  All of my children were lucky enough to be able to attend Fishkill Elementary School.  It was while volunteering in their classrooms that I got the teaching bug and decided to return to college for my teaching degree.  The rest, as they say, is history.  But I am very fortunate to be a part of the Fishkill Frogs and for that I am thankful!
I truly enjoy teaching and helping children realize their potential for success and how best to achieve it.  RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY are big in my classroom and I will work hard to try to instill an appreciation for both in your child while they are in our class.
I have taught Special Education, Kindergarten, Second, and Third Grade.  I love this age group and hope to make this year an enjoyable, memorable, and beneficial one for each of my students.

     MISSION FOR THE CLASS

My mission for the class is that each child will achieve all that they are capable of while enjoying the process.  As mentioned, RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY  are very important to me and I will work to help your child further develop these areas.

I also have a new favorite quote taken from a book I read recently which goes along with my mission for the class:

"Not environment, not heredity, but personal response is the final determining factor in our lives.  And herein lies our area of responsibility."  MLK
