**PLEASE READ FOR INFORMATION REGARDING ALTERNATIVE INSTRUCTION FOR MARCH 16TH-MARCH 27TH**
It is important to continue practicing skills while we’re away from school. Please make every effort to have your child work each day using the provided materials.
Student learning baggies are available for pick from school. If you are unable to pick one up, please visit my Google Classroom in order to find online alternative instruction work.
*Please complete one math sheet per day (double-sided). There are fractions/multiplication/division review sheets to work on in order to keep skills sharp. They are ordered in the way they should be completed.
It is also encouraged that children practice for the upcoming unit. If time allows, follow the lessons within the “Math: Angles” packet, in order. This work will be reviewed/taught when school is back in session, but exposure to the work will be beneficial. Work in this particular packet is NOT mandatory. Accompanying lesson videos are online. Please visit my school website and click the tab titled “Google Classroom Resources.”
*Please complete one reading packet per day. There is a combination of both fiction and nonfiction passages in the reading baggie. Complete the fiction work within the first week, followed by nonfiction work the second week. Use the accompanying anchor charts to assist with answering the questions in each packet. Green packets are for reading.
*Please work to independently read as well. There are books included in the baggie, along with an extra reading log, if needed. Continue to log reading minutes. Books should be brought back to school upon students’ return.
*Please complete one writing packet per day. There is a combination of both fiction and nonfiction passages in the writing baggie. Complete fiction work within the first week, followed by nonfiction in the second week. Use the accompanying anchor charts to assist with answering the questions in each packet. (At the back of the writing baggie, there is a packet marked with a pink star. This packet is an extended response practice, to be used at the end of the nonfiction week). Blue packets are for writing.
*As practice of the current skills learned in school, work on the word study sheets in the packet labeled “Word Study,” when possible.
*Continue work with our current unit by reading one packet per day. Questions serve as practice, but are not required to be completed. All work is in the Social Studies packet located in the back of the baggie.
Please note that this work serves as review. DO NOT feel overloaded by it all. If it is needed, your child may spend more than one day on a given reading/writing packet, and that is okay. Any questions or concerns, please contact me! (email: firstname.lastname@example.org)
