Thank you for all of your patience and support over the past couple of weeks. First Grade and SC 1st/2nd is now ready to begin online learning! We have worked together to develop a brief overview of what this new experience will look like.
What Will Our Learning Look Like?
You can access all assignments via your child’s google classroom. You need to log on to your child’s google account. All students have access to a Google Account that will give them access to the Google Classroom digital learning space and tools for them to access online instruction .
How to Access Your Child’s Google Classroom:
- Go to - classroom.google.com
- Enter your child’s username - Firstname.Lastname@k12.wcsdny.org (Example - email@example.com)
- Enter your child’s password - StudentfirstnameIDNumber (ID number is the same as their lunch number → Example - Sally1234567)
We are setting up temporary “office hours”. If you have a question or concern, please email the teacher. The teachers will be checking and responding to emails at 10:00 a.m. each morning and 6:00 p.m. each evening.
We will also host a short google meet from 1:00-1:30 p.m each Friday.
In addition, we will also be developing a plan to host Google Meets with students. More information about these meetings will be distributed in the upcoming weeks.
This is a work in progress and is subject to change! We understand that this is a new learning experience for all of us and that it may be overwhelming at times. We welcome any feedback and suggestions.
