Mrs. Maria Mahoney
Mrs. Mahoney has been teaching for over 27 years; almost 20 years right here at John Jay HS where she has been helping students to pass the GLOBAL REGENTS. Mrs. Mahoney has also been coaching varsity volleyball at JJHS since 2011
Grades and Homework
All assignments and tests are graded on a TOTAL POINTS scale.
The total number of points accumulated divided by the total number of points available equals the academic average. Homework is only assigned if work is not completed in class.
Honors students have a weekly current events assignment due each Thursday morning.
All assignments are posted on Google Classroom. If a student is absent, please check Google classroom.
Google Classroom is used for posting and organizing. Use it to keep up with graded assignments. Grades are calculated through School Tool and can be viewed by logging into Parent Portal.
