The most important thing you can do to support your child's continued development in ELA is to ask your child to read independently for at least 30 minutes a day. If possible, read the same material and have conversations about what you are reading. Another option is to read to the reluctant reader; you'll be surprised to learn they enjoy just like when they were little!

"It must be remembered that the purpose of education is not to fill the minds of students with facts, it is not to reform them, or amuse them, or make them expert technicians in any field. It is to teach them to think, if that is possible, and always think for themselves." ---Robert Maynard Hutchins"Children are not a distraction from more important work. They are the most important work." --C.S. Lewis
