April 1, 2020
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,
No joke, we are continuing our learning starting on Friday, 4/3! We are looking forward to continuing our study in all subject areas and reconnecting with you! All four 5th grade teachers are going to structure our days similarly, and will have the same office hours every day, so you can contact us if you have any questions. We understand that this is new for everyone, including us, and will take some getting used to. We also understand that parents may be working from home (as are we), and may be juggling work, your children’s work, and taking care of younger children.
So here’s what you really want to know:
- Lessons for each class will be posted on Google classroom each day. You will have to check each teacher’s Google classroom every day to see the lessons. These lessons can be done at any time during the school day.
- We will be available to you via email, Remind, and Google classroom 8:30-3:30 Monday through Friday.
- We will have “office hours” 1:00-2:00 every day for specific questions about each day’s lesson (please contact the specific teacher for help in each academic area).
- Today - Test Lesson
We have posted a “test lesson” on Google classroom for each homeroom. Please make sure you do the assignment today, so we can see who is having trouble, and can help before we start officially on Friday. From now until Friday, please continue to work on any review work that was posted over the past few weeks, do i-Ready lessons, and read!
- Tomorrow - Google Meet at 1:30
Each teacher will be hosting a Google meeting at 1:30 tomorrow. The link to join the meeting will be posted in Google classroom right before the meeting.
We are really looking forward to continuing our learning! Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. Again, we are available to you via email, Remind, and Google classroom.
