• Behavior Plan

One of the first goals that I have set for our classroom this year is to have a peaceful classroom environment.  In order to achieve this, we have developed a set of rules that we have all agreed to follow this year.  We invite you, as a parent, to be our partners in achieving a peaceful classroom where every student can meet the challenges of the upcoming school year.  This plan gives every student the opportunity to manage his or her own behavior and is in effect at all times throughout the school year.

    Classroom Rules:

    1.      Be respectful.

    2.      Be responsible.

    3.      Be safe.

To encourage students to follow the rules, I reinforce positive behavior with a clip chart.  Children can move their clip up if they are caught doing something good.  They may be asked to move their clip down if they break a rule.  There is always an opportunity to clip back up and the children are constantly reminded that every day is a new day in which they are encouraged to make good choices.

I have discussed the importance of the classroom plan, but I would appreciate it if you would also go over the plan with your child.
