Welcome to the Wappinger's Central School District Health Education website. In accordance with New York State Education Requirements students will be exposed to health topics in grades K-6 and must take a and pass health for one quarter in 7th and 8th grade and again for one semester during High School. In the Wappingers Central School District we usually schedule students for their health class during their 10th grade year. Students cannot graduate from high school without 1/2 credit of health.

 

During their health education experience students:

1.  will learn how to  develop, demonstrate and practice positive health behaviors, skills and choicemaking.

2.  will learn how to demonstrate personally and socially responsible behaviors. Theywill learn how to care for and respect themselves and others.

3.  will learn about and use valid health information, products and services. Students learn how to advocate for healthy families and communities.
