Introduction
Your family decided to take a trip to the Museum of Natural History in NYC. Your parents warned you not to touch anything . However, you are taken over by the excitement. Suddenly, you spot a time machine on the third floor. Your siblings race with you up the stairs, but you make it to the machine first. You enter the machine and accidentally lean up against a lever. All of a sudden, you hear a large motor. You are knocked off your feet and out of consciousness.
You awake with a small bump on your head. Reluctantly, you open the door. There is a big surprise when you open the door. Nothing looks familiar. You are in the middle of a field overlooking what seems to be a small group of houses and barns. Where are you?
The time machine really works. You realize where you are. It is the 17th Century. This is when the colonists came to the new land and made it their home. You are able to watch your family and yourself, as if you lived in that time period. No one can see you or the time machine. This is such a wonderful new land and everyone is excited about it. However, there is a lot of hard work involved.
Suddenly, you realize how exciting it would be to tell people about this back in the future. Will you ever make it back? If you do, what would you tell these people?

The Task

Congratulations! You have survived your trip via a time machine. Colonial America is very different than the time period your used to. You need to share the information you discovered with others. You will be publishing this information in the form of a Power Point presentation that is creative and colorful. You will be visiting various web sites and collecting information by answering different questions. These questions will be used to guide you with what information you should include in your presentation. Have fun on your journey!

Conclusion

Your journey has been very tiring. However, you have learned a lot about a time period that set the stage for our nation today. It is time to go back with your family and share with them all you have learned. Always remember how important our history is. History is what makes us learn where we came from.  Hopefully, this will make us appreciate the present day that much more.
