Line following robot engineering project Students in John Jay's Project Lead the Way digital electronics class this year completed a final robotics lab project. This activity involved either building or modifying a toy vehicle that would follow a black tape road course. Students built optical sensor circuits, programmed onboard micro-controllers and used servo motors to automatically steer their vehicles. Students were allowed to only control the speed of the vehicle through remote control. This course is a part of Project Lead the Way , a national pre-engineering sequence offered at the high school level. Students who demonstrate mastery in the course qualify to take a Rochester Institute of Technology final exam and may receive transferable college credit from RIT.This year's solutions: Right click on the following links and select "Save Target As" to save these MPEG files for viewing with Windows Media Player.
