Special Education & Student Services Department
The Special Education & Student Services department is committed to developing and implementing programs to meet the needs of diverse learners. The special education department provides supports and services to school aged and preschool students identified as having an educational disability.
The Special Education department includes teaching staff, School Psychologists, Guidance Counselors, School Social Workers, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists & Nurses.
Each School (including out of district placements) are assigned an Assistant Director of Special Education or CSE Chairperson who helps to facilitate student programs and the Individualized Education Plan. The Assistant Directors work in one of six schools.
The department is overseen by the Coordinator of Special Education and the Executive Director of Special Education.
Please note Cancellation/Delay Plan for CSE Meetings:
- Please be advised that in the event of a school cancellation due to weather conditions, CSE meetings will not take place and will be rescheduled.
- If there is a 2-hour delay, meetings will begin with the 11:00 a.m. appointment. Meetings scheduled prior to 11:00 a.m. will be rescheduled.
- Please be advised that in the event that school is closed due to inclement weather, meetings will not take place and will be scheduled.
- If there is a two-hour delay, meetings will follow the delayed time schedule listed below.
