Dear Community Member:

On October 20th, the district's Master Plan Steering Committee met and
as a result of discussions held that evening moved to recommend to the
Board of Education that consideration be given to creating either:

1) Three 1,200 pupil middle schools (grades 6-8) as a result of
renovating the district's two existing junior high schools and
converting one existing elementary school.

2) Two 1,800 pupil middle schools (grades 6-8) as a result of
renovating and expanding the two existing junior high schools.

On Monday, November 7th the District's Master Plan Steering Committee
will again convene at 7 p.m. in the Wappingers Junior High School
auditorium. A copy of the agenda can be viewed on the district's
webpage www.wappingersschools.org.

Please consult the district's webpage for Master Plan presentation
materials as well as supporting documentation.
