Meeting was called to order at 3:55pm.  6 were in attendence.

Principal's Report:   Mrs. Epstein was absent

Teacher Liaison: Mrs. Plambeck was absent.

Treasurer's Report:   Bank account balance is $24,920.  Book fair money not included yet.

PTA membership:  Please sign up and support our PTA!  There is a membership form available on the website at: http://www.wappingersschools.org/Plains/PTA/membershipForm.html.  Traci will be getting a list to Mrs. Plambeck of teachers who did/didn't join.

Fault Line performance is tomorrow night (Tuesday 11/20/07).  Peggy bought some snacks for the refreshments.

Picture retakes will be Dec 3rd.

November Beacon Lights Fundraiser:  Handmade Candles by Beacon Lights, which  is a local company  (Many fragrances available. Makes a great holiday gift!)  We are still taking orders.

School Spirit Wear:  The Fishkill Plains mascot is a friendly looking panther.   We will sell gray with blue print T-shirts($10-$12), Sweatshirts($15-$17), sweatpants($15-$17), magnets($4).  Flor Lucas will be handling this.  Please send in the form with your order form and payment in an envelope marked SPIRTWEAR.

December Newsletter will be sent shortly by Denise Ragonessi.  Please send her any ideas for including to FPPTA@optonline.net .

Teacher Conferences half days will be   Fri, Nov 16    Mon, Nov 26   and Fri, Nov 30th  for all district elementary schools.

School store: Debbie Martin will hold School store Nov 20th (tomorrow) during lunch periods.  Erasers, pencils, folders, ... and various school supplies will be available for the kids to buy.  Send $3 or $4 to buy a couple of things; most expensive item is $2.75.

School Bank was just started up this year by Kim Busche.  She will announce the schedule for banking days soon.

After School Clubs will be held in February.  If you or anyone you know would like to teach a club, please let Peggy know: FPPTA@optonline.net
**LAST YEAR's**  club listings are available for you to view on the google group so you have an idea of what was taught.

Go GREEN!!  Paper memos will be limited to those who are not on the e-mail distribution list.  Soon, you should only be getting ONE paper per family, if you are on the paper memos list.  Let Peggy know if this is not the case by Dec 15th...: FPPTA@optonline.ne

e-mail Distribution:  Please sign up for the e-mail distribution list at http://groups.google.com/group/FishkillPlains.  Anyone can check the google group site for past memos.   The youngest child (or most responsible if the parent prefers another child) will get a paper memo if the family does not respond to the "Going Green" memo that they would like to get only e-mail notifications and eliminate wasted paper.  Denise Ragonesi will do a monthly newsletter with a calendar that will be posted on the website.  It  will be sent home via paper for those who require it  and  for those on e-mail, Shelly  will send a link to the new monthly information on the website.   Send Shelly SDBLACK@US.IBM.COM  all approved  memos so they can be posted to all users on the e-mail distribution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Issue brought up by 5th grade parent: 75 kids are having Chorus in the music room.   This is a safety issue and needs to be resolved.  Mrs. Epstein will be alerted to the concern.

The board voted to use PTA funds to donate Stewart's and A&P gift cards to the Malone family for Lynn who is ill.

Please encourage neighbors/friends/other parents  to come to the meetings.
