Astronaut Kregel's Classroom Visit's
Shortly later, Astronaut Kregel made his way to the classrooms of the third graders, talking to them, and letting them ask any questions they were curious about.
In addition to Astronauts Kregel's visit, Sherry was also instrumental in obtaining a NASA mock spacesuit. Colleen Croce volunteered to put it on and she went around to the K-2 grades and visited with them. The children were captivated by this suit. It was also accompanied by "space food" so the children could see how astronauts eat in space.
During the AM, Barbara Greenberg went around to the 3rd - 5th grades and gave them "space food" to try (the younger grades also tasted it too). They also received Astronaut pens, autographed pictures of Astronaut Kregel, and some fun raffle astronaut things. Barbara also arranged Astronaut Kregel to autograph a space book that will be in our library and also to autograph space books (one per grade) for the teachers and students to enjoy.
